Tafsir
Verse range: 7:128
(Moses said to his people), consoling them when they grew impatient at what they heard, using a wise approach: (Seek help from Allah and be patient) regarding what you have heard of false statements. (Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah), meaning the land of Egypt, or the earth in its absolute sense, of which that is included primarily. (He causes whom He wills of His servants to inherit it, and the outcome is for the righteous), who you are among.
The summary of this is that the matter is not as Pharaoh said: "Indeed, we are over them, dominators." For dominance and victory belong to those who are patient and seek help from Allah, and to those whom Allah the Exalted has promised the inheritance of the earth; and I am that promised one whom Allah the Exalted has promised victory through, and the overcoming of the enemies, and the inheriting of their land.
His saying: (And the outcome) etc., is a confirmation of what preceded it.
Ubayy and Ibn Mas’ud read (al-‘aqibah) with an accusative case (nasb), as a conjunction to the noun of "inna."
