Tafsir of Al-Jinn 72:27

Except for whom He has approved of messengers; then He causes a guard to march before him and behind him.

That is, except that the Messenger whom He has approved, He—the Glorified and Exalted—reveals to him some of the unseen matters related to his mission. This is indicated by the specification of "who is approved" as a messenger, for there is a connection; either because it is among the fundamentals of the mission, such as being a miracle, or because it is among its pillars and rulings, such as general religious obligations, the methods of deeds, their rewards, and other such unseen matters, the clarification of which is among the functions of the mission.

He causes a guard of angels—peace be upon them—to march from all his sides when he is being informed of this, guarding him from the interference of the devils regarding what he is intended to be informed of, by way of snatching or confusion.
