Tafsir of Al-Qiyamah 75:36

Does man think that he will be left suda—that is, neglected, such that he is neither commanded nor recompensed? It is said: [he will be left] in his grave and not resurrected. It is said, "camels are suda," meaning neglected, grazing where they wish without a shepherd. "I asdaytu (left) the thing" means I neglected it, and "I asdaytu (ruined) my need" means I wasted it and did not attend to it. The poet said:

Then I swear by Allah, with the most strenuous of oaths, That Allah did not create anything in vain (suda).

Suda is in the accusative case as a circumstantial qualifier (hal) from the pronoun in yutraku (will be left). The [structure] an yutraku stands in the place of two direct objects, which is linguistically sound. The interrogation is one of denial. Its repetition after the Almighty’s saying, "Does man think that We shall not assemble his bones?" is for the sake of reiterating the denial of resurrection. It is said that the speech includes an indication of its occurrence, since wisdom dictates the command for good deeds and the prohibition of base and shameful acts; and moral accountability (taklif) cannot be realized except through recompense, which may not occur in this world and thus must occur in the Hereafter. Some have considered this a rational proof for the occurrence of resurrection, though there is a discussion regarding this that is not hidden. And the Almighty’s saying:
