Surah Al-Insan 76:11



ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ

So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness

{ So Allah protected them from the evil of that Day... }

{ So Allah protected them from the evil of that Day } by reason of their fear and their guarding against it. Abu Ja'far read faq-qāhum (فَقَّاهُمْ) with a shaddah on the qāf, which is more consistent with His saying, Exalted is He, { and He gave them radiance and gladness }, meaning He gave them, in exchange for the frowning of the wicked and their grief, radiance in their faces and gladness in their hearts.
