Tafsir of Al-Mursalat 77:10

"And when the mountains are blown away," meaning they are made like grain that is winnowed with a winnowing fan or similar. It is said, "And the mountains are ground to dust" (56:5), and "The mountains will be like a heap of sand poured out" (73:14). It is stated in al-Bahr that the winds scatter them, and this occurs after they have been set in motion.

It is also said that this refers to making them into fine dust. Another view is that "blown away" (nusifat) is derived from being uprooted from their foundations swiftly, from the expression "I snatched something" (intasaftuhu) if one seized it away.

Amr ibn Maymun recited it as tummisat (obliterated) and furrijat (cleared away) with the shaddah (doubling) on the mim and ra. The Kashshaf mentions that all three verbs were recited with shaddah.
