Al-Mursalat: (44) Indeed, thus We reward...

"Indeed, thus"—meaning, in the manner of this great reward—"We reward the doers of good," and not with a reward lesser than it.

The intent by "the doers of good" is the God-fearing mentioned previously. However, the explicit noun was placed in the position of the pronoun to praise their state with the quality of "doing good" (ihsan), while also signaling the cause of the ruling. It is possible that "the God-fearing" and "the doers of good" are intended to mean the righteous believers. There is no evidence in this for the Mu'tazila regarding the eternal dwelling of sinners—the committers of major sins—in the Fire, for the utmost extent of this is that it does not address their state.
