Tafsir of Abasa 80:18

This is an initiation into explaining his excessive ingratitude, by detailing the various forms of blessings that He—the Almighty and Majestic—has bestowed upon him, from the inception of his creation to the end of his life; blessings that necessitate being met with gratitude and obedience, rather than his neglect thereof. The interrogation is said to be for the purpose of belittling, and the mention of the response—that is, His saying, the Exalted—
