Tafsir
Verse range: 81:11
It is uprooted and removed, just as the hide is stripped from the slaughtered animal, and a covering is removed from that which is concealed by it. The root meaning of kashṭ (stripping) is peeling or skinning, and it is metaphorically applied here to mean removal.
Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud] recited it as qushiṭat with a qaf (ق) instead of a kaf (ك). The alternation between these two letters is not rare, similar to kafur and qafur (camphor), or 'arabi qah and kah (pure Arab).
