Verse range: 84:9
"And he will return to his family, joyful" (Al-Inshiqaq: 9)
That is, his believing kin, rejoicing in his state, saying: "Here, read my record!" It has been said that this refers to any group, generally, even if they were not his kin, for every believer is 'family' to a believer by virtue of sharing the faith. It has also been said that it means his own specific people and those whom Allah the Exalted has prepared for him in Paradise, such as the Houris and the youths. Ibn al-Mundhir recorded this from Mujahid. Zayd ibn Ali recited it as yuqlabu (and he shall be returned), the present tense of quliba, in the passive voice.
