ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ
The cause [for blame] is only upon those who ask permission of you while they are rich. They are satisfied to be with those who stay behind, and Allah has sealed over their hearts, so they do not know.
Tafsir
Verse range: 9:93
"The way [of blame and punishment] is only against those who ask your permission [to stay behind] while they are rich, possessing the provisions and the ability to go out with you. They were pleased to be with those who remain behind—its meaning has already been explained—and Allah has set a seal upon their hearts, so they have been forsaken and thus heedless of the evil consequence. Therefore, because of that, they do not know—ever—the gravity of what they were pleased with, nor what it entails in the immediate term, just as they did not know the impurity of their state in the ultimate term."
