[Al-Layl: 19] And there is not for anyone with him any favor to be recompensed.

This is an inaugural sentence establishing what the preceding discourse implied: that his giving [of wealth] for self-purification is purely for the sake of Allah the Exalted. That is to say, there is no one who possesses over him any favor that must be recompensed or reciprocated, such that he would intend by his giving to be rewarded for it.

From what has been mentioned, it is known that the verb tujza (is recompensed) is in the passive voice, because the intention is not for a specific doer. It is also said that this [form] is due to it being a terminal rhyme, and its origin is yujza bihi iyyaha (he is recompensed with it for it) or yujziha iyyahu (he recompenses it for him).
