Tafsir Ibn Kathir on An-Naml 27:24

Surah An-Naml 27:24



ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ

I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided,

وجدتها وقومها يسجدون للشمس من دون الله وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل

I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah, and Shaytan has made their deeds fair seeming to them, and has prevented them from the way, meaning, from the way of truth,

فهم ﻻ يهتدون

so they have no guidance. Allah's saying:

وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل

فهم ﻻ يهتدون
