Surah An-Nahl 16:56
ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ
And they assign to what they do not know a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent.

They assign shares to those patrons about whom they have no authentic knowledge that God has made them His partners and allotted some duties of Godhead to them and made them governors of some territories in His Kingdom.

That is, "They set apart a portion of their incomes and land products to make offerings of this to their patron."
