Surah Al-Baqarah 2:53
ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ
And [recall] when We gave Moses the Scripture and criterion that perhaps you would be guided.

"Furqan": a criterion for distinguishing truth from falsehood. Here it stands for the knowledge and understanding of religion which enables a person to discern between right and wrong, truth and falsehood.
