ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ
And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.
Tafsir
Verse range: 23:73-75
[73] And indeed, you are calling them to a straight path.
Know that when the Almighty established the falsehood of the opponents' way, He followed it by clarifying the correctness of what the Prophet (PBUH) brought. This is because whatever the proof indicates its truthfulness is the most perfect form of straightness regarding the "straight path."
[74] And indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.
Meaning, they are turning away from this path. This is because the path of straightness is singular, while what opposes it is manifold.
[75] And if We had mercy upon them and removed what afflicted them of harm...
Regarding this verse, there are several interpretations:
It is explained that they have reached such a peak of rebellion and obstinacy that there is no return to the worldly abode, and that "if they were returned, they would revert to that which they were forbidden" (Al-An'am: 28) due to the intensity of their persistence in their disbelief.
[76] ...they would wander blindly in their transgression.
This means they would persist in their misguidance while being bewildered and confused.
[77] And certainly, We seized them with punishment, but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humble themselves.
[78] Until, when We opened against them a gate of severe punishment, immediately they would despair therein.
[79] It is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
[80] It is He who dispersed you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.
[81] And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not then use reason?
