Surah Al-Furqan 25:54
ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

And He it is Who created...
Know that this is the fifth type of proofs for Monotheism (Tawhid). In it are two discussions:
The First Discussion: They mentioned two opinions regarding this water:
- It is the water from which the origins of animal life were created, which is what is meant by His saying: "And Allah created every moving creature from water" (An-Nur: 45).
- It means the semen/sperm, due to His saying: "Created from a forcefully ejaculated fluid" (At-Tariq: 6), and "from a lowly fluid" (Al-Mursalat: 20).
The Second Discussion: The meaning is that the Exalted God divided humankind into two categories:
- Those having lineage (Dhawu Nasab): Meaning males to whom descent is attributed, so it is said, "So-and-so, son of so-and-so," and "So-and-so, daughter of so-and-so."
- Those having affinity through marriage (Dhawatu Sihr): Meaning females who enter into marriage relations (yusahiruuna). This is similar to His saying: "And He made of them the two sexes, male and female" (Al-Qiyamah: 39).
"...And your Lord is ever Powerful," because He created two types of humans, male and female, from a single drop (of fluid).
**[25:57]** And they worship besides Allah that which neither benefits them nor harms them; and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. **[25:58]** And We have not sent you except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. **[25:59]** Say, "I ask of you no reward for this [message] except for those who wish to take a way to their Lord." And rely upon the Ever-Living Who does not die, and exalt [Him] with His praise. And sufficient is He as regards the sins of His servants—Being Acquainted [with them].
