Surah Saba' (34): Verse 50

Original Text Segment:

Translation:

This verse also confirms the Prophethood, because Allah Almighty stated generally:

{ Whoever is guided, it is for his own self } (Az-Zumar: 41).

And regarding the Prophet (peace be upon him), He said:

{ And if I were guided, it is only by what my Lord reveals to me }.

This means: My going astray would be upon myself, like your going astray. However, my guidance is not through observation and inference (like your guidance); rather, it is through clear Revelation.

And His saying: { Indeed, He is Hearing } means He hears when you call upon Him and seek aid against them. { Near } means He will come to you without delay; He does not hear from afar, nor does He fail to reach the caller.

Original Text Segment:

Translation:

{ And if you could but see when they are seized with terror, and there is no escape, and they are taken from a near place! }
