ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ
And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

ومن نعمره ننكسه . . . . . فقد ذكرنا أن قوله تعالى : { ألم أعهد إليكم } ( يس: 60 ) قطع للأعذار بسبق الإنذار ، ثم لما قرر ذلك وأتمه شرع في قطع عذر آخر ، وهو أن الكافر يقول لم يكن لبثنا في الدنيا إلا يسيرا ، ولو عمرتنا لما وجدت منا تقصيرا ، فقال الله تعالى : { أفلا تعقلون * إنكم * كلما * دخلتم * فى * نجزى كل كفور * وهم يصطرخون فيها ربنا أخرجنا نعمل صالحا غير الذى كنا نعمل أولم نعمركم ما يتذكر فيه من تذكر } ( فاطر : 37 ) ثم إنكم علمتم أن الزمان كلما يعبر علكيم يزداد ضعفكم فضيعتم زمان الإمكان ، فلو عمرناكم أكثر من ذلك لكان بعده زمان الإزمان ، ومن لم يأت بالواجب زمان الإمكان ما كان يأتي به زمان الإزمان .
Translation:
And We grant long life to whom We cause to grow old...
We have previously mentioned that His Almighty saying, {Did I not grant you a life long enough for anyone to take heed?} (Ya-Sin: 60) served to cut off excuses based on prior warning. Then, after establishing and completing that point, He proceeded to cut off another excuse, which is the disbeliever claiming: "Our stay in the world was but a short time. If You had granted us a longer life, You would not have found any shortcoming from us."
Therefore, Allah Almighty said: {Do you not then comprehend? Did We not grant you a life long enough for anyone to take heed therein? And the warner came to you, so taste [the punishment], for the wrongdoers have no helpers.} (Fatir: 37).
Furthermore, you yourselves know that as time passes over you, your weakness increases. Thus, you wasted the time of possibility (zamān al-imkān). If We had granted you a longer life than that, the time of eternity (zamān al-izmān) would have followed it. Whoever failed to fulfill what was obligatory during the time of possibility would not have fulfilled it during the time of eternity either.

! 7 < { وما علمناه الشعر وما ينبغى له إن هو إلا ذكر وقرءان مبين } > 7 ! <
Translation:
{And We have not taught him [Prophet Muhammad] poetry, nor is it suitable for him. It is not but a reminder and a clear Qur'an.} (Verse 69)
