Tafsir
Verse range: 49:18
This is an indication that nothing is hidden from Him, neither your secrets nor the hidden deeds of your hearts.
{He is Seeing of what you do.} This refers to His sight of the manifest deeds of your limbs. The end of the Surah, while being cohesive with what preceded it, contains a confirmation of what was stated at the beginning of the Surah, which is His saying, the Exalted: {O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger and fear Allah} (Al-Hujurat: 1). Since nothing is hidden from Him in secret, do not abandon fearing Him in private. And since nothing is hidden from Him in public, do not feel secure from Him in the open.
Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no Prophet.
