Verse range: 67:6
Know that the Almighty, at the beginning of the Surah, established that He is capable of all possibilities. Then, He mentioned that although He is capable of everything, He created what He created not for sport or falsehood, but for trial and examination. He clarified that the purpose of this trial is that He may be Mighty (Aziz) concerning those who persist in wrongdoing, and Forgiving (Ghafur) concerning the repentant. The attributes of being Mighty and Forgiving can only be established if His being complete in Power and Knowledge is established, which He demonstrated through the aforementioned proofs. At this point, His capability to punish the disobedient is established, so He said: **{And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of Hell}** (6:6). This means that everyone who disbelieves in Allah, including devils and others, has the punishment of Hell; the stoned devils are not exclusively designated for it. It has also been read with the accusative case: *'Adhāba Jahannam*, as an apposition (Badal) to His statement: **{the punishment of the Blaze}** (Al-Hajj: 4). Then, the Almighty described that punishment with many attributes.
