Al-Qalam (The Pen): (34) Indeed, for the righteous are, with...

{with their Lord} i.e., in the Hereafter, {Gardens of Bliss} (Jannāt an-Na'īm). This means gardens where they experience only pure enjoyment, untainted by anything that might spoil it, unlike the gardens of this world.

Muqatil said: When this verse was revealed, the disbelievers of Mecca said to the Muslims: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted has favored us over you in this world, so He must favor us over you in the Hereafter as well. If we are not favored, then at least we should be equal."

Then Allah the Exalted responded to this statement by saying:
**{Shall We then treat those who have believed as We treat those who are criminals? What is the matter with you? How do you judge?}**
