This means: "Soon you, O Muhammad, will see, and they [the polytheists] will see." There are two interpretations regarding this: 1. **Regarding the affairs of this world:** Soon you will see, and they will see, the outcome of your affair and the outcome of their affair. Indeed, you will become honored in people's hearts, while they will become despised and cursed, and you will prevail over them through killing and plunder. Muqatil said: This is a warning of the punishment at Badr. 2. **Regarding the affairs of the Hereafter:** This is like His saying: {They will know tomorrow who the arrogant liar is} (Al-Qamar: 26).
