Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,

Al-Haqqah (The Inevitable Event): Verse (15)
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ (So on that Day shall the Event befall.)
**Translation/Exegesis:** On that Day, the Great Catastrophe (the Resurrection/Doomsday) shall occur. The heaven will split open for the descent of the angels: **فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ** (And the heaven will be split asunder, on that Day weak/loosened.) Meaning, it will be relaxed, its strength having fallen away, **كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ** (like carded wool.) This is in contrast to its previous state when it was firm and strong.
| الحاقة : ( 16 ) وانشقت السماء فهى يومئذ واهية

وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ (And the heaven will be split asunder, and it will be weak on that Day.)

وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَى أَرْجَائِهَا (And the angels will be on its edges.)

وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ (And the Throne of your Lord will be borne above them, that Day, by eight.)
**Translation/Exegesis:** On that Day, eight [angels] will bear the Throne of your Lord above the assembled creation.
