Surah Al-Haqqah 69:23



Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.

Al-Haqqah (The Inevitable Reality): Verse 23

**قطوفها دانية** (Its fruits will be near at hand.)

Then He said: {Its fruits will be near at hand} (Qutufuhā dāniyah). This means its fruits are close enough to be taken easily. A person can take them as he wishes: if he desires to take them by hand, they will yield to him, whether he is standing, sitting, or reclining. If he wishes them to come closer to him, they will draw near. Al-Qutūf is the plural of qutuf, which means "that which is plucked."

**{كلوا واشربوا هنيئاً بما أسلفتم في الأيام الخالية}** (Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days gone by.)
