Verse range: 72:15
(And as for the deviators, they will be fuel for Hell.)
The First Inquiry: Why is the punishment of the deviators (Al-Qasitun) mentioned, while the reward of the believers is not mentioned?
The Answer: The reward of the believers is indeed mentioned. It is in His saying, the Exalted: {تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا} (Seek guidance/right conduct) (Al-Jinn: 14). This means they sought a great guidance whose true extent only God Almighty can comprehend. Such a thing (comprehending the reward) can only be realized in the context of a reward.
The Second Inquiry: The Jinn were created from fire; how, then, can they become fuel for the Fire (Hell)?
The Answer: Although they were created from fire, they have changed from that original state and have become like flesh and blood. It is said that this is the end of Al-Hasan's discourse on this matter.
(And if they had remained straight upon the way, We would have given them abundant water to drink.)
And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will make him enter a severe torment.)
