The First Issue: The Meaning of the Verse

This implies an admission on their part that they fell into those ignorances [of disbelief] solely due to imitation (Taqlid), and that they were only saved from those darknesses through the blessing of reasoning and argumentation (Istidlal and Ihtijaj).
The Second Issue: The Grammatical Case of {كذباً} (a lie)

**{ وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا }** (And that there were men among mankind who sought refuge with men among the jinn, so they increased them in terror.)
{ وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ } (And that there were men among mankind who sought refuge with men among the jinn...)
