Tafsir
Verse range: 75:36
Does man think [he will be left] **Suda**?
Suda means neglected, not commanded, not forbidden, not burdened with obligations in this world, and not held accountable for his deeds in the Hereafter. In linguistics, asdaytu iblī isdā’an means I left my camels neglected.
Know that when the Almighty mentioned at the beginning of the Surah: {Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?} (Al-Qiyamah: 3), He repeated it at the end of the Surah, presenting two proofs for the validity of resurrection and the Hereafter.
The first proof is His statement: {Does man think that he will be left Suda?} (Al-Qiyamah: 36). This is analogous to His saying: {Indeed, the Hour is coming; I conceal it so that every soul may be recompensed for what it strives} (Taha: 15), and {Or shall We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like the corrupters in the land? Or shall We treat the righteous like the wicked?} (Sad: 28).
The reasoning is as follows: Granting a creature the capacity, tools, and intellect without commanding obedience and forbidding corruption implies that the Almighty is pleased with ugly deeds, which is incompatible with His wisdom. Therefore, obligation (Taklīf) must exist. And obligation is not proper or fitting for the Generous and Merciful unless there is a dwelling place for reward, resurrection, and the Hereafter.
The second proof for the validity of affirming the gathering (resurrection) is drawing an analogy from the initial creation to the re-creation, which is intended by the Almighty's statement:
{Has he not been a drop of sperm emitted?}
