Surah Al-Mursalat (The Emissaries): Verse 13

لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ (For the Day of Decision)

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is the Day when the Most Merciful (Al-Rahman) separates between the creation. This is similar to His saying: {Indeed, the Day of Decision is their appointed time for all.} (Ad-Dukhan: 40)

Then, He followed that with a second glorification, saying:

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ (And what can make you know what the Day of Decision is?)
