ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ

And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.

Original Text Segment:

( 7 ) وما عليك ألا . . . . . المعنى لا شيء عليك في أن لا يسلم من تدعوه إلى الإسلام ، فإنه ليس عليك إلا البلاغ ، أي لا يبلغن بك الحرص على إسلامهم إلى أن تعرض عمن أسلم للاشتغال بدعوتهم . ! 7 < { وأما من جآءك يسعى * وهو يخشى } . > 7 <

Translation and Exegesis (Based on Fakhr al-Din al-Razi's approach):

(7) And [there is] nothing upon you if he does not purify himself (or: if he does not become guided).

Meaning:

There is no blame upon you if the one you invite to Islam does not accept the faith. Your duty is only to convey the message (al-Balāgh).

This means that your eagerness for their conversion should not lead you to turn away from the one who has accepted the faith (or is seeking guidance) in order to busy yourself with inviting those who refuse.
