Surah At-Takweer 81:25
ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ
And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].

Tafsir
Verse range: 81:25
The people of Mecca used to say: This Qur'an is brought by a devil who casts it upon his tongue.
Allah negates this claim.
If it is argued that affirming the truthfulness of prophethood depends on negating this possibility, then how can this possibility be negated by transmitted evidence (Dalīl Sam'ī)?
We have already explained that if one adheres to the doctrine of al-Ṣarfah (the doctrine that the Qur'an's inimitability is due to God diverting people from imitating it), then the validity of prophethood does not depend on negating this possibility. Therefore, it is entirely possible to negate this possibility using transmitted evidence.
