But those who have disbelieved deny,

(Verse 22) Nay, but those who disbelieve...

As for His saying: {Nay, but those who disbelieve}, the meaning is that although the proofs necessitating belief are clear and manifest, the disbelievers reject them either due to:

  1. Following the traditions of their ancestors.
  2. Envy.
  3. Fear that if they manifested belief, they would lose their worldly positions and benefits.

{And Allah is most knowing of what they conceal.}

As for His saying, {they deny, and Allah is most knowing of what they conceal}...
