Tafsir of Al-Ghashiyah 88:12

Al-Ghashiyah (The Overwhelming Event): (12) In it is a flowing spring.

The Third Attribute of Paradise:

His saying, the Exalted: {In it is a flowing spring} (Fiha 'aynun jâriyah).

Al-Kashshāf’s author [al-Zamakhshari] said: This refers to springs in the utmost abundance, like His saying: {A soul will know} (Al-Takwīr: 14).

Al-Qaffāl said: It means springs of drink flowing upon the surface of the earth without channels, and they flow for them as they desire.

Al-Kalbī said: I do not know if it is water or something else.
