Tafsir of Yunus 10:25

{The Abode of Peace (Dār al-Salām)} It is Paradise. He attributed it to His Name [as "The Abode of Peace"] to glorify it.

It is said: "Peace" (al-salām) means "safety" (al-salāmah), because its inhabitants are safe from every harm.

It is also said: It is because peace is widespread among them, and the angels greet them with: {Except the saying: "Peace, peace!"}.

{And He guides} He grants success to {whom He wills}. These are those whom He knew that [His] grace would be effective upon, for His will is subordinate to His wisdom.

The meaning is: He invites all servants to the Abode of Peace, but none shall enter it except those who are guided.

{For those who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. Neither darkness nor humiliation will cover their faces. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.}
