Yunus: (41) "And if they deny you, then say..."

{And if they deny you} If they persist in their denial of you and you have despaired of their response, then dissociate yourself from them and leave them, for you have already offered your excuse. This is like the Almighty’s saying: "And if they disobey you, then say, 'Indeed, I am free of what you do'" (Ash-Shu'ara: 216). It has also been said that this verse is abrogated by the Verse of the Sword.

{And among them are those who listen to you. But can you make the deaf hear, even if they do not understand? And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind, even if they do not see?}
