Hud: 120

{And all [stories] We relate to you...}

The tanwin (nunation) in {kullan} (all) is a substitute for the mudaf ilayh (genitive construction), as if it were said: "And every piece of news We relate to you."

{From the news of the messengers} is an explanation for "all."

{That by which We make firm your heart} is a substitute for "all." It is also possible that the meaning is: "Every type of narration We relate to you," meaning: in various styles. In this case, {that by which We make firm} is the object of "We relate."

The meaning of "making his heart firm" is increasing his certainty and the tranquility of his heart, for the abundance of evidence makes the heart firmer and knowledge more deeply rooted.

{And there has come to you in this, the truth} Meaning: In this surah, or in these stories related within it, is that which is the truth.

{And an instruction and a reminder for the believers.}

{And say to those who do not believe} From the people of Mecca and others:

{Work} According to your state and the path you are upon.

{Indeed, we are working. And wait} For calamities to befall us.

{Indeed, we are waiting} For that which Allah has related regarding the punishments that befell those like you to descend upon you.

Hud: 123

{And to Allah belongs the unseen of the heavens and the earth, and to Him the matter will be returned, so worship Him and rely upon Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do.}
