Ar-Raʿd: 25
{After its covenant}
After they have bound themselves to it through acknowledgment and acceptance.
{The evil of the abode}
It is possible that the evil consequence of this world is intended, as it stands in contrast to "the ultimate abode" (ʿuqbā ad-dār). It is also permissible that "the abode" refers to Hell, and its "evil" refers to its punishment.
{Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment.}
