ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ
Thus have We sent you to a community before which [other] communities have passed on so you might recite to them that which We revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say, "He is my Lord; there is no deity except Him. Upon Him I rely, and to Him is my return."
Tafsir
Verse range: 13:30
{كذلك أرسلناك} Just as that sending, We have sent you. Meaning: We have sent you with a sending that possesses status and merit above all other sendings.
Then He explained how He sent him, saying:
{في أمة قد خلت من قبلها أمم} Meaning: We have sent you among a nation that many nations have preceded; it is the last of the nations, and you are the Seal of the Prophets.
{لتتلو عليهم الذي أوحينا إليك} To recite to them the Great Book which We have revealed to you.
{وهم يكفرون بالرحمن} And the state of these people is that they disbelieve in the All-Merciful—the One of abundant mercy, whose mercy encompasses everything, and from whom comes every blessing they possess. They disbelieved in His grace by sending someone like you to them and revealing this miraculous Qur’an, which confirms all other scriptures, to them.
{قل هو ربي} The One, the Exalted above any partners.
{عليه توكلت} In my victory over you.
{وإليه متاب} And to Him is my return, so He will reward me for my patience and struggle against you.
{ولو أن قرآنا سيرت به الجبال أو قطعت به الأرض أو كلم به الموتى بل لله الأمر جميعا أفلم ييأس الذين آمنوا أن لو يشاء الله لهدى الناس جميعا ولا يزال الذين كفروا تصيبهم بما صنعوا قارعة أو تحل قريبا من دارهم حتى يأتي وعد الله إن الله لا يخلف الميعاد}
