Tafsir of Ar-Ra'd 13:40

{And whether We show you} In whatever way the situation turns, We will show you their downfall and what We have promised them regarding the sending down of punishment upon them.

{Or We take you away [in death] before that} Then there is nothing incumbent upon you except to deliver the message, and upon Us—not you—is their reckoning and their recompense for their deeds. Therefore, do not let their turning away concern you, and do not hasten their punishment.

{Have they not seen that We come to the land, diminishing it from its borders? And Allah judges; there is no adjuster of His judgment, and He is swift in account.}
