Surah Ibraheem 14:32

ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky and produced thereby some fruits as provision for you and subjected for you the ships to sail through the sea by His command and subjected for you the rivers.

Ibrahim: (32–34)

{Allah} is the subject (mubtada’), and {is He who created} is its predicate (khabar).

{Of the fruits} is an explanation of the "provision" (rizq). That is: He brought forth by it a provision which is fruits. It is also permissible for {of the fruits} to be the object of "brought forth," and {a provision} to be a circumstantial qualifier (hal) of the object, or in the accusative as an infinitive (masdar) of "brought forth," because it carries the meaning of "provided."

{By His command} means by His saying "Be."

{Dā’ibayn} (Ever-diligent): They are diligent in their movement, their illumination, their dispelling of darkness, and their rectification of what they rectify on earth, in bodies, and in vegetation.

{And He subjected for you the sun and the moon} to alternate in succession for your livelihood and your rest.

{And He gave you from all that you asked Him}: "From" (min) is for partiality (tab’id). That is: He gave you some of everything you asked Him for, in consideration of your interests. It is also recited as "min kullin" (from everything) with tanwin, and "mā sa’altumūhu" (what you asked Him) as a negation, with its place being the accusative as a circumstantial qualifier. That is: He gave you from all of that without you asking for it. It is also permissible for {mā} to be a relative pronoun, meaning: He gave you from all of that what you needed and without which your conditions and livelihoods would not be sound, so it is as if you asked for it or requested it through the language of your state.

{You cannot count them}: You cannot encompass them, nor are you able to enumerate them or reach their end. This is if they intended to count them in summary. As for the details, no one is capable of that, nor does anyone know it except Allah.

{Truly, he is a wrongdoer}: He wrongs the blessing by neglecting to thank Him for it.

{Unbelieving}: Extremely ungrateful for it. It is said: He is a wrongdoer in adversity, complaining and panicking; and ungrateful in prosperity, hoarding and withholding. "The human" (al-insān) refers to the genus, so the report of wrongdoing and ingratitude encompasses whoever exhibits these traits.


{And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. My Lord, indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me - then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving, Merciful."}
