An-Naḥl: 125
{To the way of your Lord}
To Islam.
{With wisdom}
With sound, decisive speech, which is the evidence that clarifies the truth and removes doubt.
{And good instruction}
That which makes it clear to them that you are sincerely advising them and intending their benefit through it. It is also possible that he means the Qur’an; that is: call them with the Book, which is wisdom and good instruction.
{And argue with them in a way that is best}
With the method that is the best of argumentative methods, characterized by gentleness and softness, without harshness or severity.
{Indeed, your Lord is most knowing}
Of them. Whoever possesses goodness within him, a little instruction and slight advice will suffice him. As for the one in whom there is no goodness, stratagems will fail against him, and it is as if you are striking cold iron.
An-Naḥl: 126–128
{And if you punish, punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for the patient. And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress from what they conspire. Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.}
