An-Naḥl: (18) And if you should count the favor of Allah...

{You cannot enumerate them} You cannot grasp their number, nor does your capacity reach them, let alone your ability to fulfill the right of gratitude for them. He followed this by enumerating some of His favors to alert [you] that beyond them are [favors] that cannot be limited or counted.

{Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful} He overlooks your shortcomings in performing gratitude for the favor, does not cut it off from you due to your negligence, and does not hasten your punishment for being ungrateful for it.

{And Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare} Of your deeds; and this is a threat.

{And those whom they invoke other than Allah create nothing, while they are created. They are dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.}
