Tafsir
Verse range: 17:111
[Question]: How does the description of Him by negating a child, a partner, and humiliation (weakness) align with the word of praise (al-taḥmīd)?
[Response]: Because the One who is described in this manner is the only One capable of bestowing every blessing; therefore, He is the only One who deserves the entire genus of praise.
[Tradition]: When a boy from the Banū ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib began to speak clearly, the Prophet (ﷺ) would teach him this verse.
[Tradition]: "Whoever recites Sūrat Banī Isrāʾīl and his heart softens upon the mention of parents, he shall have a qinṭār in Paradise; and a qinṭār is one thousand and two hundred ounces."
May Allah grant us this through His abundant grace and immense benevolence.
