Al-Isra: 96

{Say, "Sufficient is Allah as a Witness between me and you."} Regarding the fact that I have conveyed what I was sent with to you, and that you have denied and acted obstinately.

{Indeed, He is, of His servants,} Those who are warned and those who warn,

{All-Acquainted, Seeing.} He is All-Knowing of their conditions, and therefore He will recompense them. This is a consolation for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and a threat to the disbelievers.

Note: "As a witness" (shahīdan) is a specification (tamyīz) or a state (ḥāl).

Al-Isra: 97-98

{And whoever Allah guides - he is the [rightly] guided; and whoever He sends astray - never will you find for them protectors besides Him. And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces - blind, dumb, and deaf. Their refuge is Hell; every time it subsides, We increase them in blazing fire. That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our signs and said, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we indeed be resurrected [in] a new creation?"}
