ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ
Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging.

Tafsir
Verse range: 18:102
{أفحسب الذين كفروا أن يتخذوا عبادي من دوني أولياء}
{عبادي من دوني أولياء}: They are the angels. It means: they shall not be allies to them, as it is narrated regarding them: "Exalted are You! You are our Protector, not them" (Saba: 41).
Ibn Mas‘ud recited: (Afazanna alladhina kafaru).
The recitation of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is: (Afahasiba alladhina kafaru), meaning: Is it sufficient for them, and is it their calculation, that they take them as allies? This is based on the nominal sentence structure (subject and predicate), or on the verbal structure (verb and agent); for the active participle, when it relies on the interrogative hamza, is equivalent to the verb in its governance, like your saying: Aqā’im al-zaydān? (Are the two Zayds standing?).
The meaning is that this will neither suffice them nor benefit them before Allah as they had calculated. It is a precise and excellent recitation.
{النزل}: That which is prepared for the nazil, who is the guest. Similar to it is: "So give them tidings of a painful punishment" (Al ‘Imran: 21).
{قل هل ننبئكم بالأخسرين أعمالا * الذين ضل سعيهم في الحياة الدنيا وهم يحسبون أنهم يحسنون صنعا * أولئك الذين كفروا بآيات ربهم ولقائه فحبطت أعمالهم فلا نقيم لهم يوم القيامة وزنا * ذلك جزاؤهم جهنم بما كفروا واتخذوا آياتي ورسلي هزوا}
