Surah Al-Kahf 18:54
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ
And We have certainly diversified in this Qur'an for the people from every [kind of] example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute.

{أكثر شيء جدلاً} The things from which argumentation most frequently arises, if you were to separate them one by one, are contentiousness and disputation based on falsehood.
The accusative case of jadalan (argumentation) is for the purpose of specification (tamyīz). It means: the argumentation of man is greater than the argumentation of everything else. Similar to this is the verse: "Yet behold, he is an open disputer" (An-Naḥl: 4).
{وما منع الناس أن يؤمنوا إذ جاءهم الهدى ويستغفروا ربهم إلا أن تأتيهم سنة الأولين أو يأتيهم العذاب قبلاً}
