"And We saved him and Lot to..."

"...a land which We have blessed for the worlds."

We saved them, delivering them from Iraq to the Levant (al-Sham).

"And its blessings reaching the worlds": Most of the prophets (peace be upon them) were sent there, and through them, their laws and religious legacies spread throughout the worlds; these are the true blessings.

It is also said: God blessed it with an abundance of water, trees, fruits, fertility, and a pleasant life for both the rich and the poor.

It is narrated from Sufyan that he once set out for the Levant, and when asked, "Where are you going?" he replied, "To a land where a bag [of grain] can be filled for a single dirham."

It is also said: There is no sweet water except that its source springs from beneath the Rock in Jerusalem.

It is reported that he [Abraham] settled in Palestine, while Lot settled in the "Overturned Cities" (al-Mu'tafika), with a distance of a day and a night's journey between them.

"And We gave him Isaac and Jacob as a gift (nafilah), and all [of them] We made righteous."
