Tafsir of Al-Mu'minoon 23:42

{Then We brought forth...}

{Generations}: The people of Salih, Lut, Shu'ayb, and others.

It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Children of Israel.

{Their term}: The time appointed for their destruction and what was decreed.

{Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time a nation came to its messenger, they denied him; so We made them follow one another, and We made them [mere] tales. So, away with a people who do not believe.}
