Surah An-Nur 24:17
ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ
Allah warns you against returning to the likes of this [conduct], ever, if you should be believers.

An-Nur: 17
"God admonishes you, lest..."
Meaning: He dislikes that you should return [to such conduct], or [He admonishes you] regarding your returning to it. This is derived from your saying: "I admonished so-and-so regarding such-and-such, so he abandoned it."
He forbids them from it as long as they are alive and held accountable.
"If you are believers"
In this is an incitement for them to take heed, and a reminder of that which necessitates the abandonment of such a return—which is their being characterized by faith, which deters one from every repulsive act.
