Tafsir of An-Nur 24:56

{And establish prayer and give [zakat]}

This is conjoined to the command: {Obey Allah and obey the Messenger}. It is not far-fetched for a separator to occur between the conjoined element and that to which it is conjoined, even if it is long, because the nature of the conjoined element is that it must be distinct from that to which it is conjoined. The obedience to the Messenger was repeated to emphasize its obligation.

{Do not think that those who disbelieve are escaping [punishment] upon the earth; their refuge is the Fire, and wretched is the destination.}
