Surah Al-Furqan 25:54
ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

"And it is He who created..."
He intended: He divided humanity into two categories: those of lineage (nasab), meaning males through whom lineage is traced—so it is said: "So-and-so, son of so-and-so," and "So-and-so, daughter of so-and-so"—and those of affinity (ṣihr), meaning females through whom marriage ties are formed.
Similar to this is His saying, the Exalted: "And He made from it the two mates, the male and the female" (Al-Qiyāmah: 39).
"And your Lord is ever All-Powerful" in that He created from a single drop of fluid two types of human beings: male and female.
"And they worship instead of Allah that which neither benefits them nor harms them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]."
